That is a bit open-ended, isn't it? Maybe it is more future proof to
say something like this:
This function is known to be present on all glibc platforms.
This function is known to be missing on these platforms: MacOS X
10.3, FreeBSD 6.0, NetBSD 3.0, OpenBSD 3.8, AIX 5.1, HP-UX 11, IRIX
6.5, OSF/1 5.1, Solaris 10, Cygwin, mingw, Interix 3.5, BeOS.
Thoughts? Just an idea, and I don't volunteer to go through all the
documentation and fix this just now...
