I need these URLs occasionally. For example, when I want to see what
parameterization various packages use for the 'diffseq' module. Or
which version of 'bootstrap' they use. Or similar things.

You are not required to maintain these URLs. They can be maintained on
demand, i.e. when someone notices that they are stale. But deleting them
would cost some effort: Each time, going from the record in freecode.com
to the home page, then to the development page, then to the git web interface
is a lengthy process.
