Well, I think 3-line comments as in the 2008-12-17 change [1] are
copyrightable, because there are many different ways to formulate such
a comment.

But I agree to the proposed change to LGPL as well.

This should be LGPLv2+, as it allows a painless license upgrade when the FSF
releases a new version of the license. I've pushed this in your name:
