Looks good for me to continue on. I have perl 5.20 installed, and can easily upgrade to perl 5.24 if needed.Perl on VMS currently supports shebangs in scripts. With out that, it assumes that it running the DCL interpreter, not bash.
I have --create-testdir run and am now going to see how much of do-autobuild works on VMS.
