Thanks for the pointer. I was meaning to disable af_alg by default myself, as 
the arguments against it were pretty compelling (and Assaf came up with some 
more), and I have been hesitating syncing Emacs up to the latest Gnulib for this 
reason.

I suggest adding the URL to Assaf's email to your commit message, in this form:
