Since both coreutils and wget get their translations through the Translation
Project [1], the question is one of the German translation team in the
Translation Project.

In this translation team, there is considerable freedom; what you see as an
inconsistency is thus in fact a different preference of different translators.
In fact, Wikipedia lists both as common choices in Germany and Austria. [2]
