The only change made to base was a rework in the mframe and cifframe 
code, which, perhaps has some infitesimal probability of causing that 
kind of error (although more likely it would cause much bigger errors). 
The cifframe code (using ffcall) works correctly for me so the only 
option is mframe. Are you using ffcall or not?

Perhaps you can supply a backtrace. That would really help
