Which reminds me I wanted to ask:
Why are/is example (still?) in _core_ ???
IMHO, it should be moved to an 'external' example directory, not
necessarily usr-apps/ but maybe dev-apps/examples/ ?
AFAICT, the services "implemented" by example (seem to) interfere with
some services offered by "real" applications/tools, like "Open URL".
