in my opinion, changing the code to use a font panel
would be ignoring the real problem, so I think it
should be fixed

I think instead of displaying one big window and
scrolling it when we get to the edge of the screen,

they

 display it so the entire pop-up is on screen and
providing arrows which appear above or below, that
allow you to scroll through the pop-up items that
won't fit.. 

and there's two ways to do that, one is on mouse
entered scroll the arrow and the other would be
actually clicking on the arrow, 

I'm told MacOSX uses the on mouse entered way
I dont have and cant test either though
