Hello.
1) Thank you for your work !
2) I'm an old programmer but a real beginner in the Linux world.
3) I try to install GNUSTEP on a mandrake 9.1 linux.
For the make, the base and the gui (0.8.5): no problem !
For the back(end): problem in the MAKE. I have an error message about Xtf.h:
In file included from XGContext.m:47: ../../Headers/xlib/XftFontInfo.h:38: `XftFontInfo' redeclared as different kind of symbol /usr/X11R6/include/X11/Xft/Xft.h:54: previous declaration of `XftFontInfo' XGContext.m: In function `+[XGContext initializeBackend]': XGContext.m:81: parse error before "XftFontInfo"
make[3]: *** [shared_obj/ix86/linux-gnu/gnu-gnu-gnu/XGContext.o] Error 1 make[2]: *** [xlib.all.subproject.variables] Error 2 make[2]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/gnustep-back-0.8.3/work/gnustep-back-0.8.3/Source/xlib' make[1]: *** [libgnustep-back.all.bundle.variables] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/gnustep-back-0.8.3/work/gnustep-back-0.8.3/Source' make: *** [internal-all] Error 2
Note that my freetype 2 is in 2.1.3 version. Maybe is this the reason ?
Can you help me ?
Thank you.
