Thanks Matt!

I can confirm that this will fix it.  But I'm almost think, that 
removing the corresponding '(' might be the /better/ fix.  So I'll wait 
a little, to see if Nicola wants to jump in.  Otherwise, I'll commit a 
patch removing the '(' sometime soon.

PS: The patch currently doesn't apply to cvs anymore but the intent is 
obvious.
