Ahhh... 'twas ever thus. When I started doing UNIX work we had to
put up with 'all the worlds a VAX', these days its 'all compliers are GCC'
and 'all the world is Linux' (despite the fact that Linux is the most
non-standard one out there). Theres little point in complaining about it
though, it just puts peoples backs up sadly.
Best idea is to submit a patch with an #ifdef Linux in it. That way everyones
happy. AT least you arent trying to deal with people putting inline assembly
into C files which the 'all the worlds a VAX syndrome' lead to :-)
