Category: Gui/AppKit
Severity: 5 - Average
Item Group: Bug
Resolution: Invalid
Assigned to: None
Status: Declined

Summary: Does not load on Cygwin

Original Submission: It compiles correctly but dies with a segfault when
loading any application using it, either at startup if linked in or whenever
it's loaded.

It seems to be a strange initialization error, as the segfaul occurs in
_cygwin_init_dll, which is called at DLL load time.

Could you please describe your system setup in more detail? There has been a
similar problem on windows before which was always due to some corrupt DLL
(mostly the tiff) or the ObjC runtime was linked in statically.
Only when this has both been ruled out, it will be important that you provide
the output of the configuration of base and gui.
