Quite likely you don't have some documentation building tool which is
needed. Can you cut&paste the exact error message ?
If you could try running
make messages=yes
in the directory where you have the problem, then cut&paste all the
messages and send them to us, that woule help.
If you have any details on which platform/os you're using that would help
too. It's quite possible that the problem is about some TeX doc tools
which are not available/installed on your platform/os, but at least we
could improve gnustep-make so that it produces a more meaningful error
message with a hint/explanation of what the problem is, rather than just
aborting with an obscure error.
