I used to get similar problems, but the final changes to fix this were
committed around 2004-08-09, and I haven't had any problems since then. Are
you seeing this with newer versions of -gui and -back?



Which window manager are you using? Decorations managed by -gui or the wm?
Can you provoke it regularly enough to debug it?

This happens on a number of GUIs I've tested.  It's inconsistent.  
Occasionally, the pulldown appears in a different location.   So far I've
seen it in Gorm.app and in Preferences.app.



The steps to reproduce are:

1) Open an app.

2) Open a panel in the app which has a pull down

3) Open the pulldown.



Result: *Occasionally* the pulldown will not show up in the right location
(as with pulldownbug.jpg -- attached).

Expected: Pulldown should appear in the location above the button on the
screen.
