No, I get trails with clean builds of latest cvs of both Gorm and GWorkspace, with both back-art and back-xlib. Weird, but I've checked and double-checked.
Anyway, I'm investigating, so you can expect patches for your drawing code shortly. ;) Until then, I've attached a patch that turns on stroke adjusting for back-art by default, which should restore the previous back-art behavior. Could you test and see if this helps on your systems? (It doesn't help here.)
