Follow-up Comment #1, bug #13509 (project gnustep):
I am told now (pinskia on #gnustep) that libffi uses trampolines too, so both
would be "evil" -- not that that is a valid argument if they are used safely.
Regardless, this bug is still a valid bug.
libffi would be a better option to use, in the long run, as it does seems to
get pactches and updates being parked in and used by gcc; the status of ffcall
seems a bit more ambiguous; the page hasn't been updated since, 1997, but the
latest version 1.10, seems to be up to date.
