Sorry, I'm a bit baffled by this. Is /usr/local/lib (where xmlSAX is?) in LD_LIBRARY_PATH environemnt variable, or in /etc/ld.config? Are there possibly two xmlSAX libararies on your system?
It seems to compile fine with base tools, but not gui tools, which is odd.
