Hi, Startup fails to build - so far, 2 breaks:1. It doesn't detect the X11 development environment in 'configure' at thetop level. I'm not particularly knowledgable about GNU autoconf ormakefiles but it looks like it's looking for static libraries (which no longer exist on FC5). I suspect it will build just fine without the staticlibraries.
I don't see this in the log files. Dod you run it again and it worked or what?
2. Failure during the build of GNUstep GUI: Linking service GSspell ... Creating GSspell.service/Resources... Creating GSspell.service/Resources/Info-gnustep.plist... trampoline: cannot make memory executable /bin/sh: line 1: 6258 Aborted ././shared_obj/make_services --test GSspell.service/Resources/Info-gnustep.plist
This could be a problem with stricter security policies affecting how the ffcall library sets up function calls. Do you some non-standard security policy in place (pam, or whatever?). I haven't really seen it before on Fedora. Maybe the ffi library works on Fedora?
