Subject: | Possible memory leak during compile time of NSException |
Date: | Fri, 20 Jul 2007 21:37:55 -0500 |
Hello,I'm really excited to use GNUstep, but I'm having trouble at compile time. The startup script prints "Building NSException..." for a long time only to fail. If I run "free" from another virtual terminal, I can watch as the compiler sucks up hella memory until I get an error message that I've run out of memory.
I am building GNUstep for an iBook G4 running CRUX, which is just standard GNU/Linux. I have plenty of memory (768 megs) and I have a swap partition of the same size.
It might be worth mentioning that I've had the same problem as others with the startup script failing to find an up-to-date make program. I circumvented that problem by setting the GNUMAKE variable to make's path. Was this a bad idea?
Thanks for reading! Josh
