ok, installed libffi-3.0.5, and recompiled everything.

when I now start e.g. AddressManager, or ProjectCenter, then the gdnc does
not crash anymore. But AddressManager, and ProjectCenter still crash. They
also spit out a lot of error messages, that I before assumed they came from
connection problems to gdnc, and repeatedly retrying to restart it. 
But at least the pid of gdnc is the same before and after running an
application. So acutally, I am not sure, whether the application actually
contacted gdnc at all.

I'll output backtrace of AddressManager to the other bugreport.
