Follow-up Comment #3:

OK ... it should work again with trunk - and I improved the checks and the
GNUSTEP_BASE_DOMAIN stuff.  But you need both gnustep-make 
and gnustep-base from trunk.

It would be good to also test the various options on MinGW :-)
