I need a Windows machine to fix this. I'll get to one today.
Anyway if I remember correctly, to link a dll on Windows, the .dll.a needs to
be in the
library path, and the .dll needs to be in the PATH (!!).
So to link a local .dll, maybe we also need to add the location to the PATH.
:-/
I'll experiment later on today and see if I can fix it.
