Follow-up Comment #6:

I finally found the reason for this problem. We were using a local copy of
the string when fixing the text attachments of the text storage. This could
get out of sync with the actual string.
None of this could have happened when our RTF loading code wouldn't have
added wrong attributes and characters :-( 

Please test again.
