There is something a bit strange in your log files. The checks in
installgnustep.log suggest that the GNUstep installation should go into
/usr/GNUstep/Local/Library/ whereas the logs in 05-gui-install.log
clearly show that things we copied into /usr/GNUstep/System/Library/.
