Follow-up Comment #3, bug #30094 (project gnustep): On which Solaris version/machine? __GLIBC__ should have zero effect on any non-GNU platform... Does it help if you use AC_USE_SYSTEM_EXTENSIONS and remove all manually crafted defines? (This is the autoconf (almost) bullet-proof way for dealing with this particular problem.)
