Follow-up Comment #2, bug #34845 (project gnustep):
Yes, I found this change in SVN. But then I ran into the next problem. For the
BUNDLE_INSTALL_PATH the GNUmakefiles used GNUSTEP_SYSTEM_ROOT all over the
place to define where the BUNDLES should be installed. This is kind of messy,
since its deprecated since a loooong time. I tried to put GNUSTEP_SYSTEM_ROOT
as make flag, but make refused that, since I installed gnustep-make with
--enable-strict-v2-mode. I don't really want to remove that parameter.
On the other hand, the svn version doesn't use GNUSTEP_SYSTEM_ROOT anymore,
and is just fine.
So, still begging for a new release ;)
