                           Groff Bug Report

GROFF VERSION: 1.17.2

MACHINE: Sun Ultra-2

OS: SunOS 5.5.1

COMPILER: g++ 2.8.1

INPUT FILES: This simple table definition below

.TS
center,box.tab(;);
c c
n l.
Index ; Text
_
1 ; Excellent
2 ; T{
This should be
spread over
several lines
T}
3 ; More text
.TE

COMMAND LINE: 'groff -t tbl_bug > ttt.ps'

DESCRIPTION OF INCORRECT BEHAVIOUR:

According to the original tbl documentation (and there is no
indication in the supplied documentation, that this feature is no
longer supported), the pair 'T{' and 'T}' are used to include a block
of data between 'tabs'.

The above table is incorrectly formatted in the sense, that
'gtbl/gtroff' apparently doesn't recognize the 'T{' or 'T}' at all. So
the block of text appears in column one instead of column two, which I
believe would have been the correct behavior.

SUGGESTED FIX [optional]: No idea!
