I just checked (by compiling groff 1.19 with GCC 3.4.0 on Solaris 8
sparc), and 1.19 exhibits the same symptoms when it is applied to the
1.19.1 groff.1.
1.19 does exhibit different failure symptoms when it is applied to the
1.19 groff.1:
$ groff -man /net/sic/export/ford/home/eggert/junk/prefix/man/man1/groff.1
>/tmp/t
/net/sic/export/ford/home/eggert/junk/prefix/man/man1/groff.1:57: error: end of
file while defining macro `TP'
troff: warning: numeric expression expected (got `\')
This is because of the '.de TP+' on line 57, which is being
interpreted in compatibility mode. I think this bug was already
reported but I'm just mentioning it again to make sure we're on the
same page here.
