Hi Bjarni,

Please just update the patch in bug #59664.  A patch to a patch isn't terribly
useful.

Is Perl actually throwing a warning, or is the "warning" of which you speak a
reference to a cautionary note in the perlfunc(1) man page?  If the latter, I
suspect Dave is correct (though I'm not a Perl expert) and that part of the
patch should be dropped, which further renders this ticket invalid.
