Follow-up Comment #6, bug #55789 (project groff):

> Are people ignoring my comment #1 for some unstated reason and posting
patches adding the spurious -xsh4.2 anyway?

Not recently, I don't think--I'm just trying to clean up the bug list a bit.
The patch itself is almost 2 years old.

> My preference would be to add -susv1 and -susv4 but to delete -xsh4.2, but i
would appreciate a second opinion before doing that.

I can't remember ever seeing a reference to XSH4.2, though a Google Search
does turn up hits from relevant sources. If I have, it's been vanishingly
rare compared to SUS and the Issues of POSIX released by the Open Group.

So I'm willing to second it. We can always add XSH4.2 later if, somehow, the
torches and pitchforks get too close.

> I do see value in minimizing the size of the API, which also helps keeping
documentation shorter.

Agreed.
