Oh, good.  I didn't look there, since the ticket focused on info content, but
yes, this seems to make the groff_tmac(5) diversion material wholly
unnecessary.

Yeah, and even to me, someone familiar with C, the analogy seems an uneasy
fit.  But that aside, the groff documentation shouldn't assume readers know C
programming.

"Shunted" may have been a poor word choice; my intent wasn't to treat the
material as a second-class citizen, but to locate it where it's most useful to
users.  But you make a solid case for its inclusion in the info manual.
