Follow-up Comment #2:
commit 68a34636bff0197bfe4cc61841dbadc78b11e1b4
Author: Bjarni Ingi Gislason <bjarniig@rhi.hi.is>

groff_diff.7.man: Use '\c' to split input lines containing "eqn"
requests.
The preprocessor "eqn" inserts '.lf' requests into its output.
If an input line ends with '\' and the next input line starts with
an "eqn" request, that '.lf' request is printed to the text output
instead of being executed.
