Thanks, Deri.  I started looking into #62934 thinking it might be
something simple, but I abandoned it once you posted your explanation
of what was going on, and can confidently say I never would have
figured that out. :)

When creating new bug reports, if another bug served as its "origin
story" I'll usually include a pointer to it.  This may occasionally be
helpful in debugging the problem, but it's mostly for my own benefit:
sometimes I'll find it useful later in chasing down some bug report
whose details I can't remember but that I do remember spawning another
problem.
