  I sometimes get the older version from "nroff -v", this time after the
commits from today (Mon Nov 6th).

  The test-suite.log shows

FAIL: src/roff/nroff/tests/verbose_option_works.sh
==================================================

nroff: 1.23.0.rc4.9597-3fddd
groff: 1.23.0.rc4.9607-37630
FAIL src/roff/nroff/tests/verbose_option_works.sh (exit status: 1)
