If you see the archive of the mailing list, you should recognize that
GRUB's support for FreeBSD is poor. There is no way to tell
"/boot/loader" or the real kernel from which disk it should be
booted. So I must say that we need volunteers to improve the support
again. Unfortunately, however, the reality is that nobody works on
GRUB for FreeBSD at the moment.
