DAC960 raid controller

whats involved in making a DAC960 raid controller work with grub

attached is a patch to grub-install.in which converts the device to grub
syntax.

also attached is the DAC960's make_rd script which makes the devices.
this will show the syntax of the devices.

but as for grub itself, where would I start. I wonder if its over my
head.
