A bit more on this. It's actually hanging right at the disk system
reset at the top of codestart in asm.S. If I remove the reset, my
system reboots (and I can't tell exactly where the reboot happens). I
removed the reset on a Phoenix BIOS based system and everything
continued to work without a problem.

The interesting bit - If I jumper the drive to be a Slave (and that's
the only attached drive), and do a reinstall, GRUB works without much
problem (though there is a slight delay after stage2 loads, things
still come up without the hang).

Cheers,

Matt
