Well, as he said and as I've seen, it works with 2.2 but not with some
or all 2.4. Does grub do anything different with 2.4 than 2.2, if not
either somethings changed in the 2.4 series or 2.4 has a bug (surprise
!).
Unfortunately, I do not a have a DAC960 on a machine I can play with
so he'll have to do some debuggering.
