Linux Software RAID...

Have been looking through the archives and found a few messages
regarding setting up Grub on a system with software-raid level 1 but
nothing that seems to just indicate that "yes it works great".

So my question... is it possible to use Grub as a boot-loader on a
system that is running software-raid level one on all partitions
(including boot). Previous to this I've been using LILO and it just
happily writes itself to the boot sectors of all drives in the array so
no matter which drive dies, the remaining drive or drives are completely
bootable. As far as I've been able to see with Grub you specify the
boot drive physically during configuration... how does this information
get onto the other one or more drives in the array?

If it is possible to set Grub up properly in this manner, can anyone
drop me a quick step-by-step toward getting it configured properly (my
config is 3 IDE drives in array, separate boot/root partitions, all
partitions software-raid level 1).

Thanks,
