I recommend getting and trying the current Grub CVS tree. This was a known
problem, because Grub didn't do an APM disconnect before loading the OS,
but supposedly this issue is fixed in CVS. If that doesn't work for you,
then post again and make sure to mention that the CVS version still
doesn't work.
