I have a machine using the 3c90x driver with grub. In last July
I upgraded to grub-0.90, and in this version, compiled with
the option --enable-3c90x, the bootp command works perfectly.
I compiled and installed grub-0.92 today, and when I try the
netboot, I get this message:
ALERT: got a fragmented packet - reconfigure your server
If I replace the netboot directory from 0.92 with the one from
0.90, compile, and try again, the bootp command works once more.
The bootp server (run centrally on a FreeBSD box, and used by
several thousands of clients) is unlikely to have a problem;
in any case, I doubt I could get the configuration changed.
I did try simply deleting the check from netboot/main.c, but then
I get the UDP checksum error. Is grub 0.92 really unable to
receive messages from the bootp server which 0.90 accepted happily?
