I recently inherited a fujitsu lifebook 635t without floppy or cdrom, not even
proper
powersupply(had to hack it with paperclips :)) + battery is shot. So I used a
dell latitude to
put Redhat 8.0 on it, took out the harddrive and put it in the fujitsu. But
everytime it boots,
it loads grub and restarts before the kernel gets uncompressed. No messages no
nothing except a
white screen. I don't know what's going on. Maybe I need to change some BIOS
settings or give
the kernel some parameters? The harddrive boots fine when in the dell latitude
but not the
fujitsu. I turned debug on in GRUB but got no messages. Any ideas?
