I was able to work out another solution for that as follows through a shell
script which takes the string from the command line:

/sbin/grub --batch --device-map=/dev/null <<EOF \

grep "^Encrypted: " | sed 's/^Encrypted: //'






All the same, thanks for your suggestion; I will try it too.
