This means there is an error in your menu.lst.

I assume you changed some things so the menu.lst works with the new
install.  I think you made an error there.

It means that a path has to start with the root of the drive.  For
example:

(hd0,4)/foo/bar

Can you show the relevant part form your menu.lst?
