Yes. You can use the boot floppy although it is always better to have the boot loader on the MBR. You know the boot floppy is very slow.Hi adrian15, Tks for your detail advice. FC5_64 ======The option is: Special Boot -- Boot your OS (linux or other one) again --For a multi-boot PC, including WinXP and other distro can I use bootfloppy? If YES how to edit the floppy to boot WinXP and other distro. Because of WinXP I suppose the floppy should run FAT32/vfat.
The filesystem for the floppy is independent of the OS you want to boot. From an ext2 floppy you can boot FAT32 systems and viceversa.
What other things can be done on the boot floopy?
Boot a CDROM thanks to memdisk and smartbootmanager. You can search for "all in 1 floppy" on google or just wait till I upload (today, I think) the mother's preview of Super Grub Disk floppy which has this option.
