Details:

If the following is added to grub.cfg a new menuentry is shown as expected
(quotes added for clarity)

"menuentry 'Dummy" --class windows {
        set timeout=4
}"

However if there is a trailing space on the close brace the entry does not
show. i.e.

"menuentry 'Dummy" --class windows {
        set timeout=4
} "

Tested on 1.98-1ubuntu5 (Ubuntu 10.04)
