Running LVM on dmraid on imsm, and grub-install does not work

I am running a imsm raid (intel ICH10r, named Gentoo) and a LVM on top
of that (named lillen) that holds a LV named lillen-boot.

Now grub-probe does not find lillen-boot, but if you look at the log for
grub-prob you will see it only looks at /dev/md/lillen and /dev/md0.
However the LVM I want lies on top of /dev/md/Gentoo, /dev/md126
(or /dev/md127 for the general metadata).
Could this be why it does not find the disk?
