LVM2 outputs warning messages when it inherits file descriptors greater than
2. For example:

File descriptor 4 (pipe:[1016827]) leaked on vgs invocation. Parent PID 28778:
/usr/sbin/grub2-probe

Two solutions:
1. Close any open files/pipes before executing LVM2 commands
2. Set the LVM_SUPPRESS_FD_WARNINGS environment variable.
