URL: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?41288> Summary: grub-probe hangs on dmraid Project: GNU GRUB Submitted by: cavalier Submitted on: Mon 20 Jan 2014 08:27:50 PM GMT Category: Filesystem Severity: Major Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: None Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Originator Name: Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: Release: Git master Reproducibility: Every Time Planned Release: None _______________________________________________________ Details: grub-probe hang on --device /dev/dm-4 --target=disk This is a device-mapper raid1 partition setup with dmraid. This is a 64bit system with NVIDIA raid controller. When interrupting the program is sits in __openat_nocancel() syscall see grub_gdb.log for more detail. Continuing execution from within gdb returns the expected results. This is not limited to --target=disk. But target disk only hangs once, other targets hang multiple times. Executing the same command on a USB stick doesn't hang. grub 2.00 doesn't have this problem. _______________________________________________________ File Attachments: ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Mon 20 Jan 2014 08:27:50 PM GMT Name: grub_gdb.log Size: 5kB By: cavalier <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/download.php?file_id=30322> _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?41288> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
